Bhutan being a small and landlocked country, it has always faced its own share of challenges in making other countries know of its existence. Bhutan was placed in world map only in 1852 though it was independently there long before that.

These were just
before introduction of modernization concept in Bhutan. The country
first started its five year economic plan in 1961 and then gradually
came modern facilities like roads, schools and hospitals. People of
different localities got connected and came together for hospitals and
schools.

Bhutanese people have lived in small tribes who are separated from other tribes either by geographical challenges or leadership boundaries. We can’t imagine of other countries knowing about Bhutan when people didn’t know even among themselves.
Some years from there, Bhutan government introduced internet and television. It was from there Bhutanese got exposed more. Bhutanese came to know more about world as much as world came to know about Bhutan.
Bhutanese now like to taste cultures and traditions of other countries as much as they want to have their own preserved. People of other countries also like to taste and live in cultures and traditions of Bhutan. Tourists who are visiting Bhutan are increasing every year.

This demands a common place where other countries can study more about Bhutanese cultures and even have opportunities to try them. When per capita internet connectivity is favourable, what would be better platform than blogging?
Bhutan Street Fashion, a page on Facebook that shares photos of both Bhutanese and foreigners alike who are in best outfits of Bhutan is very popular. It can go quite far. Foreigners love it as much Bhutanese do. And also number of Bhutanese youths aspiring to take parts in various international level fashion shows and beauty pageant programs are on rise.
Therefore, there is indeed a huge scope for fashion and design blogging in Bhutan. Foreigners need to show how our fashions and dresses are as much as our youths need to be guided on how to present them to others in their true essences. There are one or two fashion bloggers from Bhutan. They are doing well compare to bloggers in other areas.
The whole world thinks of Bhutan as a very beautiful, peaceful and unspoilt country with equally nice people. It's in my bucket list to visit Bhutan someday.
