Citizenship in Facebook -Your Blog's Facebook Fan Page

What is the highest traffic generating site of your blog? Google. I guess. Why not Facebook? It should be on the top or at least in second given the fact that people today use Facebook as much as they use other websites like Google or Twitter. What must have happened with your blog? Why Facebook hasn’t generated much traffic?

If this is the case with you and your blog, we just know that you must have not taken an initiative to give digital citizenship to your blog in Facebook. Your blog must be entering Facebook just occasionally and not as frequent as it deserves. If you want to expand readership and improve traffic from Facebook, you must create a Facebook page for your blog.

In previous post we have learned the reasons as to why a blog should have its own Facebook Page. And let us learn how to create it. Don’t panic. It’s very easy.

Login to your Facebook Account>Click on Drop-down button that is nearby your Profile Photo>Move down>Click Create Page>Choose Community>Choose Category>Give Your Page Name>Click on Get Started.

Your page is being created now. To go ahead with updates and customization, you can open the page and update them accordingly. You can add profile picture, cover photo and add additional details from Timeline button.
Hope you got it right. You can now share your posts on its timeline and invite your Facebook friends to like it. You can also add it as a gadget in sidebar. We will bring tutorial on this very soon. Thanks. Enjoy Blogging!

  2. When you create a Facebook page for your blog, it will not give traffic for your blog but will also help you in doing behavioral studies of people who have visited your website via Facebbok. Create one and see the difference. I will give my wherever you need!
