Is launching a Facebook Dislike Button Good News for you?

How will you feel if your Facebook post or status gets more dislikes than likes? What will be your reactions when your work published online gets more dislikes than likes after you have worked so hard to bring it to that shape? What will you do if you being as an online marketer, marketed products get more dislikes than likes?

What will be your perception if your lifetime favorite actor or actress or may be even athlete has more dislikes than likes in his or her Facebook page? How public within the country or of other countries would think if your prime minister is being disliked more than being liked in Facebook?

How would you be if all these things happen? It’s not that they won’t happen. We are actually talking about something that is going to happen soon. Facebook has now decided to launch Dislike button as an additional new feature.

We have been so accustomed to being liked. To some extent Facebook is to be blamed for this. But now it seems we have to discard such mentality and remain prepared in receiving even some dislikes. In some cases, the dislikes may exceed likes. Be ready to expect unexpected.
What they really want is the ability to express empathy. Not every moment is a good moment. We don't want to turn Facebook into a forum where people are voting up or down on people's posts. -Mark Zuckerberg
My friend has posted; this toothache is killing me, a moment ago. We know his status isn’t something to be liked. But I can see 16 likes already. This means 16 friends have liked him being suffered by that pain. In such case dislike button may be used as a feature to express empathy.

But for a status like; may peace prevail in this world, will a dislike button make sense? It isn’t a sad moment to express empathy. We can say it will deserve only likes. However, it may get some dislikes just because people are given choices.

Whatsoever it’s sure that the dislike button is going to come soon, we can also expect some changes in the way things are published and marketed online. We can also expect some behavioral changes in social media users.

Tom dislikes Dick’s post because Dick has earlier disliked Tom’s post. And Harry also dislikes Tom’s post because Dick is his friend. Alex dislikes posts of Dick and Harry because Tom is his uncle. Hope such situation won’t come up with the launch of dislike button.
